The band revealed the 13 dates today. So the question now is, when is LP 9 dropping?
Radiohead will be heading out on the road for the first time since the 2011 tour in support of their last LP: The King of Limbs. The band unveiled the dates on their website this morning adding to the fervor surrounding the release of LP 9. Speculation around the release of the new record hit a fever pitch in January when the band established a new company, Dawn Chorus LLP. Radiohead established new companies leading up to the release of their last two LP’s. The King of Limbs and In Rainbows, so many thought an announcement or sudden release was imminent. However, two months have passed and nary a word has been uttered from Yorke and co. regarding LP 9.
But with today’s announcement it seems it is safe to say LP 9 will grace us with its presense quite soon. The tour kicks off May, 20th in Amsterdam, so it would stand to reason the album would hit shelves at least a month prior.
