Copenhagen meats New Orleans on this smooth, alt-pop track off SLOWOLF’s forthcoming EP “White Feathers.”
Producer and DJ SLOWOLF has made a name for himself through his sparse, bass-heavy, production with a dance-level swing. And Pell has been one of the more vibrant singer/emcees to hit the scene in some time and is fresh of the success of his debut LP Floating While Dreaming. “The Ring” plays to both of their strengths: the upbeat production is littered with building claps and melodic bursts of sound that bleed in and out. And Pell thrives on beats like this – beats that sit in an alternative pop realm and leave room to breath. For a song that is the product of two artists that are half a world away from one another, the track is remarkably cohesive.
Here’s what Pell had to say about the collaboration:
“Working with Andreas (SLOWOLF) was interesting in the fact that we come from two different worlds brought together by music. It’s a true collaboration of unique and varied styles. The Ring is one of my favorite projects to be apart of thus far in 2016!”
SLOWOLF’s new EP White Feathers is out April 1st.
