Joe Biden, “I will not be a candidate.”

After months of speculation and fervor around the Vice President’s potential white house run, Joe Biden announced today that he will not be running for president.

Hillary and Bernie can rejoice in the knowledge that the democratic primary will remain a two horse race.  Biden cited his family’s continual grief over the passing of his son Beau as a mitigating factor in his decision.  Moreover, a poll released by CNN/ORC Monday showed the Vice President currently stood at 18%, with Sanders at 29% and Clinton at 45%, so Biden may have thought, at this point, the gap was too large to make up.  Biden stated that though he will not be running he will stay active within he democratic party, and continue to fight on the issues he believes in.  After over 40 years of public service, it seems Biden may get some well-deserved rest.

Now both camps can dig their heels in to an all-out Bernie (VS) Hillary grudge match.
